If I'd have said to you after our final preseason friendly that after 11 games you'd be 4th in the league and have a cup win at Abingdon United, would you have believed me? You must be pleased?
"You know what, when you put it like that it sounds a lot better. I think this past weekend I’ve had to take a look at myself and the pressure I’ve not only put on myself but the boys too. We need to remember this year is about staying up and enjoying a new test in a new league.
Beating Abingdon is always nice, although it wasn’t our biggest concern.
September has been a great month despite the loss to Hilltop, another month like that in October and I will be over the moon. We have shown we can win on the road with most of our wins being away so that doesn’t bother us. We start the month with a local derby and end it with a trip to Wantage in the cup.
The goal for me this month, is enjoy the football we play and continue our very good start to the season.
Our only home game will be followed by the race night at the club which is a good chance for the lads to bond even further while bringing the club together.
As always UTM
